PNG PREPARES FOR 2013 WORLD TRIATHLON GRAND FINALS IN LONDON 11 Sep 2013

Junior triathlon athlete, Casmer Kamangip of Angoram, East Sepik Province, will be PNG’s flag bearer on Thursday 12th September Opening Ceremony Parade of the International Triathlon Union World Championships Grand Final in London. The Championships officially kicks off on the 12th Kamangip competing in the Junior Men. Chris Rose, Andrew Olsen, Annette Coppola and Rachel James will compete in the Sprint Distance Aged Group World Championships. Susie Pini, Ali Nott and Matt Ford will be competing in the Standard Distance Age Group World Championships on Saturday 14th September. Technical Official Stephen Damien says this is the first time PNG is taking part at this level of Triathlon and is a wonderful opportunity, in particular for our Development Squad members, Casmer, Susie and Rachel to get some experience competing at this level in preparing for the 2015 Pacific Games.
