Morobe Communities Faced Disaster 18 Oct 2016

Much of Morobe Province has experienced major hiccups in natural disaster, with the continuous heavy downpour of rain this month. Lababia village and Primary school last weekend have seen landslips and heavy flow of water destroying classrooms, food-gardens and houses. Ward councillor in Huon Gulf district, Sam Wenes in a report today says four houses were destroyed by landslide while dozen others were washed away since last week. He says the depth of the flood water into the community school and the village is approximately 2.75 meters high making the community prone to water borne diseases. Wenes is appealing to the Morobe Provincial Disaster office to step in and help contain the situation. replique rolex submariner
