SHOW PERFORMANCE INSPIRED BY PAGA HILL DESTRUCTION

By Annette Kora

A theatre preformance and arts exhibition inspired by the recently attempted demolition of the Paga Hill Community will be held for one night only at the Port Moresby Arts Theatre on Saturday 3rd of this month. Using facebook to post updates of the upcoming show, Director of the show Jeffry Feeger said contemporary arts will take a bold stand for social justice problems in the communities in PNG through the use of music, dances and paintings to express the peoples rights.

He said that it is another way of using art to raise awareness to help highlight the human rights tragedy of attempted demolition and the potential loss of public land to controversial commercial development. The event will begin with the art exhibition at 6pm followed by the theatre performance and will feature performances by the Paga Hill community along with some of PNGs most prominent talents.
