MAMOTA DRUG RAID NETS THREE SUSPECTS

THREE suspects were apprehended on Monday night, during a drug raid in the Mamota Section in Kimbe West New Britain Province.

The successful raid led by Mamota Rural Police Station Commander Constable Getrude Mou, saw the arrest of 28-year-old Jucky Sungi, from Talemanda Village in the Kompiam Ambum district of Enga Province, Jab Bamu, 38 years from Morobe/WNB and Junior Paul Wasa 25 years old from Numbunge village in the Wosera Gawi district of East Sepik Province.

The trio were arrested, for having drugs or marijuana, and harmful weapons.

According to Constable Mou, the raid was executed at 10 pm on Monday upon tip off from sources, of the ongoing drug smuggling in the area.

Constable mou says drugs are the main cause of Law & Order problems in the community of Mamota, Central Nakanai and W.N.B.P, many of the youths have gone crazy, and are collecting rubbish around Kimbe town because of drugs (Cannabis).
