NFA COMMITTED TO SUPPORT IMPACT PROJECTS

The National Fisheries Authority will continue to support its commitment to its impact development project especially through infrastructural development projects and Inland Fishing initiatives.

This week NFA launched and opened some of its development projects in two provinces in the Highlands region, in Simbu and Goroka and also made other commitments to fund and support these projects.

National Fisheries Authority Managing Director Justin Ilakini made the following commitment to fund and build infrastructure in Eastern Highlands including;

  • develop Aiyura to be the premium institution for fish farming
    -another staff house for Gotomi TVET Centre,
    -expansion of TVET Centre
    -support Gotomi Primary School with infrastructure as the school prepares to become Junior High School.
    -made a commitment of K2 million for the set up of a NFA office and Staff house in Goroka
    -K300 thousand for maintenance and extension of Lagaiyu Integrated Fish Farm Project.

NFA CEO Justin Ilakini says though the Corporate Social Responsibility Program, NFA continuous to assist the people in a multi sectoral approach in delivering infrastructure development project.
