PNG Kumuls head coach Jason Demetriou today confirmed and unveiled his 21-man squad to take on the Fiji Bati and Cook Islands Aitu in the Pacific Bowl Championships challenge.

From the 21, six are set to make their Kumul debut this year.

The debutants include Koso Bandi, Khaiya Waiembi, Alex Max, Elijah Roltinga, Sanny Wabo, and Ila Alu.

PNG will take on Fiji at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Saturday, 19th of October, and host Aitu at the National Football Stadium on Sunday, 3rd of November.

PNG Rugby Football League chief executive Stanley Hondina today formally welcomes the Australian contigents, who will be here in the country for the next three to four days, for upcoming annual Australia & Prime Minister’s XIII clash.

The Australian Prime Minister’s XIII women side and Men’s including School Boys-select side will take on the counterparts PNG this Sunday at the National Football Stadium.

This match will also help PNG to prepare for their upcoming Pacific Bowl Championships challenge.

In a press conference hosted late today, Hondina, in front of the teams coaches, captain, and Australian high Commissioner John Feakes, welcome the team to PNG and urged them to share the experiences back in their country and families.

High Commissioner John Feakes also lauded Asia Pacific rugby league initiative to bring the two countries together, annually.
