TRIBAL FIGHT AFFECTS G12 STUDENTS
By, Sharon AGAVI,
Twenty four pioneer Gr12 students of the newly upgraded Wosera Secondary School forcefully fled to Maprik Secondary to sit for exams following tribal fights between Gatikum and Vusukim villagers that took place two weeks prior to the grade 10 exams and three weeks before grade 12 exams.
The Deputy Principal Mr. Sebastian Janami, says these 24 grade 12 students will be the first pass outs of the school and it was a challenge considering the ongoing law and order issues in Wosera.
However, the teachers and students give their best for their education.
He thanked the administration for Maprik Secondary school for accepting the 24 students into their school and for making it possible for them.
The 24 students are residing at Maprik secondary since Sunday night and only the teachers are going to and fro each morning to attend to them by a hired four door vehicle.
They started well on Monday and are now going into the final couple days of the national examinations.
Mr. Jamani hoped that all will be well for the 24 students.
