By Therese PIDIK, Port Moresby
The National Airports Corporation (NAC) and Niusky Pacific Limited (NSPL) have now established a strategic partnership aimed at sharing data and exploring other collaborative initiatives to improve service delivery at both organizations.
This establishment was done through a Memorandum of Agreement signing between NAC and Niusky Pacific Limited at NSPL Headquarter yesterday.
Niusky Pacific Limited Managing Director/CEO Graham Blythe says for the benefit of organisations and the travelling public and the aviation industry at large, NSPL is in a very advance position that have systems and services provided, generates alot of data that are extremely useful for the benefit of both organisations.
Mr Blythe says, NSPL uses data to optimise it services and the information to land and sea, and allows them to use those data for their benefit as well.
He says NSPL through this partnership will work with NAC not only to provide data but also to work from the technical level to see how NSPL can provide that information to benefit both organisations.
Meanwhile, NAC Managing Director/CEO Dominic Kaumu emphasised that data is critical to do business in NAC.
“We can’t perform our business if we don’t have the proper data in-terms of what we are dealing with, and that is why this agreement is critical because it allows us to use data and information for our own benefit as well. At the end of the day what we do here is about the aviation industry, about the travelling public, it is about what we deliver in our respective agencies.”
“Whatever data we require and we do not have, we find a partner in the industry that is able to do it. That is why we’ve went ahead today with NSPL and I am pleased we’ve signed this document,’’ Mr Kaumu stated.
The MoA was signed by NAC Managing Director/ CEO Dominic Kaumu and Niusky Pacific Limited Managing Director/CEO Graham Blythe.
