PORT MORESBY SHOW OFFICIALLY KICKS OFF TODAY

The 3-day Port Moresby show has commenced today here in Port Moresby at the National Football Stadium.
This is the first ever Port Moresby Show again to be hosted since the Inaugural show in the 1990s.
Port Moresby Show 2024 Theme is centered around Education, Empowerment and Enterprise and is dedicated to the residents and families of Port Moresby.
The audience at the Port Moresby Show is diverse and despite their differences in both traditional and modern, they are all united in excitement and anticipation for the show to begin.
The Santos National Football Stadium is massive with seats to cater for 2000 to 3000 residents as they flood in to secure a space and to officially open and celebrate the first day of the show.
Stalls lined up the show ground selling snacks and food and drink beverages, display of artefacts from diverse parts of PNG, creating a bustling and lively atmosphere.
The Stadium is alive with energy as people are gathered and eagerly await the start of the show.
The show will feature entertainments from various entertainers such as, magicians, musicians, dancers, the businesses and trading companies, and cultural groups as well preparing to perform and showcase in the event.
The local artists who are expected to play in the 3-day Port Moresby Show include rising stars like Irau Jessie, the Dawgside “Bottle Bottle” crew and Mavin LDK, to play his hitsong “such things you bara danger oh” and other local artists.
Huge Trading companies are here and will be here for the next two days marketing their products and services to customers; some of these companies include Telikom PNG Limited, Paradise Foods Limited, Coca Cola Europacific Partners, Nambawan Super fund and other trading companies and small Medium Enterprises with representative from the Education Institutions like Datec Learning Centres, the IBS University, Koroboro International School and other institutions to showcase their programmes.
Traditional singing groups and participating groups like the Port Moresby student cultural collective that comprised students from the University of Papua New Guinea and Don Bosco Technical School will also participate.
All in all, the first day sees a promising Port Moresby Show ahead.
