MODERATOR MATAPARAE’S FIRST VISIT TO BUKA FOLLOWING APPOINMTMENT

The Moderator Sir Jerry Mataparae who will deliberate for PNG and Bougainville on the ratification issue of the 2019 Referendum result, made his first visit to the Autonomous Region of Bougainville yesterday, following his appointment by both governments as the Moderator.

He was welcomed at the Buka airport today by ABG Attorney General Ezekiel Masatt together with ABG Government Minister and North Bougainville MP Hon Francesca Semoso and other representatives of ABG.

MP Hon Francesca Semoso said she was happy that SIR Jerry would see for himself if there had been any changes since he was in Bougainville as a Peace monitor during the early years of the Bougainville Peace Process.

Sir Jerry upon arrival says, he was also happy to return to Bougainville and looking forward to his one week visit to Bougainville.
