Benjamin Sirimai, the youngest author from East New Britain and New Ireland provinces, has achieved a remarkable milestone at just 8 years old by publishing his first book titled “The Adventures of Bata Chief and Doolie”.

His story is not only an inspiration for young children in Papua New Guinea but also for parents.

In just two months, Benjamin managed to write his book and it was published in October 2024 by Partridge Publisher of Singapore.

The book was officially launched at the Hilton Hotel, marking a significant milestone in Benjamin’s growing literary career.

This achievement is part of Benjamin’s goals for this year, which also included excelling academically, learning to swim, and traveling to Brisbane.

When asked about the inspiration behind his book, Benjamin credited his mother for her continuous support and motivation.

Natasha Sirimai, Benjamin’s mother, expressed her pride in her son’s accomplishments and praised his determination, drive, energy, and creativity.

She also expressed her gratitude to Benjamin’s teachers at Koroboro International School for nurturing his reading and writing skills.

Benjamin’s success story serves as a reminder of the power of determination and hard work in achieving one’s dreams, regardless of age.
