PRIME MINISTER OFFICIATES 9-MILE SAIVARA SATELLITE TOWNSHIP PROJECT

The K30 million 9-mile Saivara Satellite Township Projects were officiated yesterday at 9mile.
The Satellite township is a visionary project of the local MP John Kaupa, and yesterday was the Opening of the New 9 mile Police station and 20 New Police staff housed, also the unveiling of a Level 4 District hospital, Launching of Settlement to Suburb program and Bush Wara Resettlement- 14 Mile Farea Concept Plan.
Prime Minister James Marape officially opened the new police station and also unveiled the Level 4 District Hospital.
The Prime Minister who was vocal on the impact the projects would have on the residents of 9mile area, he urged them to change their attitudes towards life and to respect each other and do away with ethnic clashes.
Prime Marape commended the local MP John Kaupa for the good partnership with NCDC Governor and for standing for his people to solve their everyday issues.
He says, these projects reflected the foot prints of the K10 million funding issued as seen in these tangible infrastructure.
Prime Minister also announced an additional K20 million to support these projects next year.
Local MP John Kaupa through partnership with a Chinese Contractor, confirmed work on the hospital project would commence on Monday.
The Satellite Township project is the first in the country, and would provide all the necessary service like Banking, Police, Hospital to the people of 9mile.
