KINA BANK EMPLOYEES GRADUATE FROM “EMERGING LEADERS PROGRAM”

THIRTEEN remarkable Kina Bank employees graduated today from the Emerging Leaders Program under a Business Graduate Program sponsored by the University of Tasmania, Australia.

Chief Executive Officer of Kina Bank Limited, Mr Greg Pawson said this program is the first for Kina Bank and as such, they would like to continue the program, to get other people onboard going forward.

Pawson congratulated the 13 participants of the program, 9 of which received their certificates today, encouraging them to keep learning and enhance their careers and emerge as leaders in the Business space.

Mr Pawson also extended Kina Bank’s gratitude to the University of Tasmania for sponsoring the Business Graduate Program.

“I do know how hard it is to balance your priorities especially given most of you have young families that you’re raising and commitments, finding it really hard in the evenings to get some study time but tremendous effort, well done,” he told the graduands.

Professor Craig Deegan, representative from the University of Tasmania, in his remarks shared that the University is committed to providing knowledge and capacity-building, whether it is within Tasmania and outside Tasmania.

The 2024 Emerging Leaders Program is an inaugural initiative of the Kina Bank, sponsored and facilitated by the University of Tasmania; a yearlong program aimed at equipping the participants with the critical thinking skills and values to emerge as leaders in their career pathways.

Meanwhile 2 of the participants received awards for efforts into the program, the most popular student award was given to Norah Onzem whilst Sioni Moses was branded Valedictorian of the class, with a prize of a weeklong trip to Tasmania and a tour of the University of Tasmania, all expenses paid.
