RAIHU CHW GRADUATES LAST BATCH OF STUDENTS

RAIHU Clinical Health Worker Training School in Aitape this week graduated the last batch of students with general Nursing Certificate.

In conjunction with its 50th Golden Jubilee graduation, a total of 28 nurses passed out with flying colors as witnessed by the staff, students, parents and nurses at Raihu District Hospital.

Raihu CHW Training School Principal Ms Noreen Tabua congratulated the Nurses and said this would be the last Batch of Nurses graduating with Certificate in General Nursing adding this year, Raihu CHW Training School has introduced a new Curriculum into their teaching program for the 1st year students which will see them graduating next year with Certificate 4 in CHW Training.

She acknowledged the tireless efforts of her five tutors saying, with limited resources, they tried their best to implement the new curriculum and ended the year successfully, the current first year students will continue to second year in 2025.”

She also thanked the Diocese of Aitape Health Services for believing in them to introduce and pursue the new curriculum of Certificate 4 in CHW.

Ms Tabua also added that RAIHU CHW Training School, a Catholic run institution, will also look into introducing Diploma in General Nursing after 3 years (2027) when the new curriculum is a success.

“You must remember that your success comes with a price, let God flow within your family and career to venture into being a professional nurse as that will be a new chapter in your life,” Ms Tabua encouraged the students.
