CORPORATE PLAN TO GUIDE COMPLETION OF CONNECT PNG PHASE ONE

Minister for Works and Highways, during the launch of the Department of Works & Highways Corporate plan has stated that this document will guide the Connect PNG program to the completion of the first phase.

The minister affirmed that the second phase of the Program will be initiated from 2028 and through this plans will aim to connect special economic zones and empower citizens to achieve economic independence adding that these are central to realizing the vision of becoming a middle income country.

He said in alignment with the maintenance first policy, the department’s 15-year road management and maintenance plan commencing in 2025 will make sure that the country’s road network remains reliable, safe and efficient for the future.

Mirisim reiterated that this plan represents the commitment of the department to achieving sustainable infrastructure development.
