DOWH LAUNCHES CORPORATE PLAN 2025-2029

In place of the Prime Minister James Marape, Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso & Minister for Works, Solan Mirisim launched the Department of Works & Highways 5-year Corporate Plan, National Road Maintenance Plan, the Audit Policy and the Revamped website.
Works Secretary, Gibson Holemba said this launch marks a defining moment not only for the Department but for Papua New Guinea as a whole. He said today’s initiatives establish the foundation for building a connected, resilient, and prosperous nation.
He added that the goal is clear, to deliver infrastructure that enhances economic opportunities and improves the lives of the people. The unveiling of the corporate plan under the 100-day plan ensures that the Department of Works and Highways can begin work immediately in the new year, setting the stage for impactful progress.
He went on to say the launch of the Corporate Plan is a key milestone, as it outlines the strategic direction and operational priorities that will guide the Department’s efforts over the coming years.
Golemba reiterated that the Road Management and Maintenance Plan is crucial for ensuring the sustainability and longevity of the national road network, while the Technical Audit Policy will enhance accountability and transparency in infrastructure development.
Additionally, DOWH is revamping their website which will provide a more accessible, user-friendly platform for citizens and stakeholders to engage with the Department, furthering the departments commitment to transparency and public service.
