NO EMERGENCY CASES RECORDED IN KIUNGA
Kiunga District Hospital reported no major emergency cases on Christmas Eve.
FM100 visited the hospital early Christmas Day at 8 AM to check on the night shift staff.
During the visit to the Outpatient Department (OPD), staff provided a brief update on the previous night’s activities.
The only case attended to involved a minor kitchen knife cut sustained during a domestic dispute between a couple.
Efforts to gather information about Christmas babies were hampered by the absence of staff in the maternity ward.
