TRAGIC NEWS ON CHRISTMAS EVE; FIVE CONFIRMED DEAD IN PLANE CRASH

DEPUTY Prime Minister, John Rosso has informed the families of those on board P2-SAM yesterday at the Manlos Aviation helipad in Lae that all five people on board the plane did not make it.

The first body of a deceased was flown in around 11am and brought to Angau Hospital.

The five, including the pilot were on their way to Lae from Wasu when the plane crashed near Sapmangan.

All five people on board didn’t make it.

Manalos Aviation CEO, Jurgen Ruh said he deeply regret this advice on Christmas Eve.

He said their Medical team onboard a PNGDF helicopter finally managed to visit the crash site of P2-SAM and their Doctor who was inserted via a winch into the wreckage has confirmed that there are no survivors.

“The impact into terrain was hard.

“As a team, we are sharing the grief with the families of the deceased.”
