COP KILLER SURRENDERED FOLLOWING “MANHUNT” ANNOUNCMENT
TASI Parobi, the main suspect in the recent killing of a police officer in Tari, Hela Province has voluntarily surrendered to police today.
This follows yesterday’s announcement by Hela Provincial Member Philip Undialu and Provincial Police Commander Robin Bore for a province wide manhunt for the suspect.
Hela Provincial Member Philip Undialu says the suspected murderer voluntarily surrendered to police and community leaders within 24 hours of launching of the manhunt.
Undialu also assures the grieving family and relatives of the deceased police officer George Lapon that justice would prevail.
The suspect, Tasi Parobi had admitted to the killing in a video recording that went viral on social media in the last few weeks.
Meanwhile, Undialu has expressed his appreciation for the tireless efforts by everyone including PPC Bore, all security forces and Tari Pori community leaders led by John Tipa.
