THE National Minimum Wage Review will continue into 2025 as soon as dates are confirmed for hearings to take place.

This is the advice from the Office of the Minimum Wage Board.

This Newsroom was advised that at the moment, all MWB hearings are on hold and will commence most likely in the month of February.

The Office is still receiving submissions from all over the National Capital District & Central Province and are encouraging businesses and citizens to continue sending in submissions.

So far, the Board has already concluded the Minimum Wage Consultation Hearings in both NCD & Central Province and will continue southern region hearings in Alotau, Popondetta, Daru and Kiunga.

Following the Southern Region, they will continue on to the Highlands Region.

Despite the rigorous planning put into the National Hearings, the Office of the Minimum Wages Board are still awaiting funding to commence.

When speaking to FM100 News late last year, the MWB Chair, Beverly Doiwa voiced that this would be a major challenge for the Board.
