HOHOLA POLICE HOST PARADE FOR SOLICITOR GENERAL

TODAY the Acting Solicitor General of Papua New Guinea was invited to the Hohola Police Station to witness a police parade to officially commence the police operations in the Hohola area.

16 of the police personnel of the Hohola Police Station paraded in front of the Police Station Commander, Senior Sergeant Fabian Kigulu and the Acting Solitor General, Mr E’ava Sotutu Geita.

The Solicitor General has been actively engaged in law outreach program to the police in NCD and was invited to the witness the parade today upon invitation from the station commander.

This is the first police parade that is held for this year.

During his address to the police, Mr Geitu commended the hardworking policemen and women of Hohola for their tireless efforts in keeping communities safe.

He stressed that as officers of the state, it is their duty by the Constitution to enforce the law and to ensure peace and order.

“With so much lawless and the lack of order in the communities, it is important for law enforcers to enforce law and maintain peace,” said Geita.

He reiterated that his visit today is part of his job to create awareness and to encourage good practice and integrity in the performance of Constitutional functions and duties, as it is the role of Solicitor General’s Office (SGO) to represent and defend the institutions of the State in Court including all disciplinary forces in all claims against State.

Meanwhile, the Hohola Police Station Commander, Senior Sergeant Fabian Kigulu thanked the Solicitor General for accepting the invitation to come and witness today’s parade, and assured that his men are ready and prepared to work together in serving and protecting the community of Hohola.
