RESTORING LAW & ORDER TOP PRIORITY FOR NCD POLICE BOSS
Capital District Metropolitan Superintendent Chief Inspector Silva Sika is adamant that restoring Law and Order in the capital city of Papua New Guinea is his top and utmost priority.
Metropolitan Superintendent Chief Inspector Sika further cautioned the city residents including the people of Central province to respecting the rule of Law and being the be model provinces in the country.
Metsupt Sika added that as the national preparing and looking forward to host its 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations this year, it is time now to get some basics right and NCD and Central should be the first instances out of other provinces to curb law and order and social issues.
“Respect the Rule of Law, and that’s all we asking from you the city residents and people of Central province,” Metsupt Sika said yesterday.
“My focus is for people to think of change for betterment for this city and the country. Respect each other and we must live in better city and communities.”
Metsupt Sika said there are plans underway for Police to ensure the country is celebrating a safer and peaceful Independence Celebrations, cometh 16th September this year.
He urged the general public to not to take the law into their own hands by bringing ethnic clashes and other outside issues into the city.
“We are in the preparation for 50th anniversary and we must start doing things right to observe the important day, approaching.
“Respect the work of police and other law and order enforcing agencies for the betterment of this city and nation,” he said.
