HEKARI-LAE CITY DWELLERS SET FOR WCSL FINAL SHOWDOWN

The stage is set for the grand final of the Women’s Conference Soccer League which will see Northern Conference champions, Lae City Dwellers gearing up to face the Southern Conference champions, Hekari United on Saturday at the PNG Football Stadium, Port Moresby.
With a focus to qualify for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Women Champion League and are playing to win this game.
Hekari United have won the last 4 consecutive games at home and are the defending champions of the conference and according to Coach Eric Komeng, the girls will give their best in the game on Saturday.
In a press Conference today, the Hekari United coach stressed that team work has brough the girls so far and it is teamwork that will bring them home in the coming game.
Meanwhile Lae City Dwellers Coach, Peter Gunemba said his girls are prepared to face Hekari.
“The girls have been training very hard this past week, training every morning and afternoon with the focus to win the finals and to play in the upcoming OFC Champions league” said coach Gunemba.
He adds that most of the girls in the team are new in the grand final arena except for Captain Meagan Gunemba, and few of the other players.
Both coaches reported that they have no major injury in their respective girls and the girls are looking forwards to the grand final.
They extended their gratitude to the franchise owners and the team management for taking care of the team during the week of preparations.
