REAREA JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL RECEIVES OVER K2MILLION WORTH OF NEW FACILITIES

The ReaRea Juinor High School in Lealea, Hiri/Koiari District of Central Province has received over K2million worth of new facilities including new 15-seater school bus from the Mineral Resources Development Authority (MRDC) and its subsidiary Gas Resources PNG LNG Plant Limited (GRPNGLNGP) on Friday March 07th,2025.
The facilities that were handed over to the school included a 4 in 1 double story classroom, three duplex houses for the teachers and two 15-seater busses all at the cost of K2.3 million.
Representing MRDC, Gas Resources Chairlady Ulato Avei said the directors of the Gas Resources Plant, their main objective is to create a foundation for a better future this is done through deliberate approach focused on education and health.
She says in over the last seven years, they have been renovating, building infrastructure in education and in health. And those are key areas where they must have a healthy community that must go to school in an environment that is conducive to a better future.
She thanked the directors, in close consultation with the community, for working and delivering the intended goods for the future of the country.
She called on the school’s teaching staff, the board of management, and students to take ownership of all these facilities.
She says unless they are not owning this project, these facilities, will never be maintained so the key is in their hands to maintain them in the best education standard that they expect.
Meanwhile the school Principal Mr. Morea Aia thanked MRDC management, the Group of Directors for these facilities that were handed over to the school which will boost teaching and learning.
He says the facilities will be maintained at the standard in which they were given and will be looked after by the teachers, staff and students of the school.
