SPEAKER POMAT RECALLS URGENT PARLIAMENT SITTING

In a public notice, the Parliament Speaker Job Pomat has recalled an urgent Parliament sitting on Tuesday, 08th April.
This is following the Supreme Court’s decision on Monday March 31st,2025.
According to the National Gazette released Parliament will sit in an urgent meeting on Tuesday, 08th April 2025 at 10am.
The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Deputy Opposition Leader James Nomane, ordering the recall of Parliament within seven days to address the motion of Vote of No Confidence against Prime Minister James Marape.
Meanwhile the Prime Minister James Marape has reassured the nation that his government respects the Constitution and the Supreme Court’s decision.
