WANTED MURDER SUSPECT CAUGHT IN MADANG

POLICE in Madang have arrested a suspected murderer, wanted for killing two people in Wewak, East Sepik Province.
Madang police confirmed, Emmanuel Kamai, 34 years old from Yenchen Village in Wosera Gawi District was accused of killing two people in Wewak in February and ran away to Madang where he has been hiding.
Kamai is now in police custody at Jomba Police Station following his arrest earlier this week at Matupi village and will appear in court soon.
Madang Provincial Commander, Acting Superintendent Robert Baim, praised his officers for acting quickly commending the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) for doing a great job following up on good leads.
Baim warned others not to run to Madang after committing crimes. “We will find you. Madang is not a place to hide,” he warned.
Baim also asked the public to keep helping police by reporting criminals.
“Let’s work together to keep Madang safe as we prepare for the 50th Anniversary celebrations,” he said.
Police plans to move the case back to Wewak, where the crime was committed.
