TISA BANK ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR SME BREAKFAST

TISA Bank Ltd has proudly announced its continued support for the PNG SME Business Breakfast as the
naming rights sponsor, contributing K300,000. This marks the third consecutive year of sponsorship
the first two years under Tisa Community Finance (TCF), and now as TISA Bank Ltd.
TISA Bank recognizes the critical role that SMEs play as key drivers of economic growth in Papua New
Guinea. As a fully-fledged commercial bank and a proud member of the Global Alliance for Banking on
Values (GABV), we are deeply committed to supporting the success of Papua New Guineans through
small business ownership — fostering prosperity for individuals, communities, and the nation.
“TISA Bank is focused on delivering innovative banking and financial solutions in collaboration with key
stakeholders to promote entrepreneurship, drive growth, and support the SME sector,” said Jeffrey Singer,
Head of SME Banking.
“Our ongoing support of the PNG SME Business Breakfast and SME Roadshows across the country provides us with a valuable platform to engage with entrepreneurs, build trust, and offer customized financial solutions that meet their unique needs.”
He added, “Our partnership with Strategic Communications SME Magazine in hosting the PNG SME
Business Breakfast is a strategic initiative that empowers small businesses to accelerate growth, generate
employment, and build wealth — particularly as we look forward to celebrating the 50th Independence
anniversary of our country.”
TISA Bank CEO, Sunil Pokharel, emphasized that “Our consistent sponsorship of the PNG SME Business
Breakfast for three consecutive years — now under the banner of TISA Bank — reflects our enduring
commitment to the growth of the SME ecosystem in Papua New Guinea. As a 100% locally owned and
homegrown bank, we intimately understand the aspirations and challenges of our local entrepreneurs.
At TISA Bank, we are not just a financial institution — we are a partner in progress. We believe that SMEs
are the heartbeat of our economy and empowering them means unlocking prosperity for our communities
and our country. As we approach Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence anniversary, we remain
focused on enabling inclusive growth and sustainable success for our people through values-driven
banking.”
The PNG SME Business Breakfast commemorates the global Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Day,
observed annually on 27th June 2025.
