NCD OFFICIAL FLOAT, LEAD UP TO 50TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

THE official launch of the National Capital Districts Float event yesterday, is set to kick off a number of celebrations in the lead up to the 50th Independence Anniversary.
Leading the way, the NCD contingent, consisting of 6 floats, four representing the four regions of PNG, 1 for the Motu-Koita and the main Float for NCD.
There were also floats representing countries closest to PNG and their development partners.
18 floats were confirmed to have taken part in the Float parade that start at the Islander area and culminate at Era Kone.
The National Capital District is the first administrative unit in the whole country to launch the 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations and will be conducting events right through the months of May to September prior to independence.
