“OUR PATI” WELCOMES NEWLY ELECTED MP FOR CENTRAL BOUGAINVILLE

NEWLY Elected Member for Central Bougainville, Hon. Jim Miringtoro last night was welcomed by “Our Pati” Party Leader, Finschhafen MP, Hon Reinbo Paita and 4 other MPs at the Jacksoons Domestic Terminal in Port Moresby.

Mr Miringtoro arrived in Port Moresby last night from Bougainville, after being declared as the absolute majority winner of the Central Bougainville by-election on Sunday 15th June.

He was welcomed by an excited leader of new political party “Our Pati”, Finschhafen MP and Mining Minster, Hon. Reinbo Paita, along with 4 other members of parliament, including Governor for West New Britain, Hon. Sansindran Muthuvel, Samarai-Murua MP, Hon. Isi Henry Leonard, Wau Waria MP, Hon. Marsh Narewec and Menyamya MP, Hon. Solen Loifa.

In his welcome remarks, Mr Paita congratulated Mr Miringtoro for having the confidence of his people in Central Bougainville and Bougainville Province as a whole and thanked the former MP for choosing to join Our Pati.

“I’d like to congratulate the people of Central Bougainville who haven’t head a voice in Parliament for the last months, and now they have spoken through the ballot and through the democratic process and they have chosen their leader. This win has brought confidence to the people of Bougainville,” said Mr Paita.

Minister Paita adds that the Our Pati looks forward to work with the new former MP and to see his leadership roles to the national government but moreover to the people of Central Bougainville.

Governor for West New Britain, Hon. Sansindran Muthuvel joined the party leader and congratulates and thanked Mr Miringtoro.

“We are truly blessed and honoured to welcome one of pour senior members to our team, ad we have young vibrant leaders within our team who are really committed to the course, and this occasion is timely, as we have one of our senior leaders guiding us going forward” Governor Muthuvel said

The re-elected leader for Central Bougainville is the 15th Member of Parliament to join the new political part, Our Pati, and will join his fellow Bougainvillean leader, North Bougainville MP, Hon. Francesca Semoso
