BASIC HEALTH CHECKS & HEALTH EDUCATION FOR NCD RESIDENTS

A one day medical outreach, is aiming to reach 500 Port Moresby residents, who may not have access to basic health checks and awareness.

Led by the Filipino Association of Papua New Guinea (FAPNG) along with the National Capital District Commission (NCDC) & Health Authority (NCDPHA), this medical outreach will take place on Sunday 27th of July 2025, at the Sir John Guise Stadium from 9am to 3pm.

Speaking during the announcement of this important collaboration, NCD Governor Powes Parkop says the medical outreach is a welcome gesture, as it makes basic health checks and health education, more accessible for Port Moresby residents.

He says it’s important people have regular checks to prioritize their health and wellbeing.

Also speaking during the announcement was the Philippines Ambassador to Papua New Guinea, H.E Edgar Tomas Auxilian, who said this is more than just a medical outreach but also a show of continued friendship & partnershipI between the two countries & also in addressing Port Moresby residents basic health needs.

Both the FAPNG & NCDC/NCDPHA are welcoming city residents to come along to the outside of the SJGS to get basic health checks and education this Sunday

They’re also appealing for more volunteers & other business houses, to come onboard and support this important one day event.
