79 GRADUATE FROM GOROKA ITI

THE Minister for Higher Education, Research Science Technology and Sports Kinoka Feo was the guest of hounor during the International training institute (ITI) Goroka campus 8th graduation at the YC Hall in Goroka on Friday.
Other invited guests that will be speaking during the graduation today includes the Chairman and Co founder for ITI Mr Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval, the University of Goroka Vice Chancellor Dr Teng Waninga and Lufa District Development Authority CEO Mr Demo Imara.
However, a total of 79 students will be graduating this year as the 8th graduation of the institute since its establishment in Goroka.
Based on the Theme ” Resilience, Growth and success.
Minister Feo’s message to graduates was to have a dream and work hard to achieve it no matter the circumstances resilience and hard work always pays off in the end.
Minister Feo shared his personal experience from being a young boy in the village who’s success started with having a dream to own a land cruiser which gave him the motivation to take his education seriously and with purpose.
He said despite dropping out at University and living off the streets of Port Moresby for 9 months he started his first job as a cleaner at the Pacific Adventist University (PAU) then to a Security guard and after saving enough money he paid for his own schools at the PAU and the rest was history.
He is now a businessman owning more than just one land cruiser and a politician which was all part of his dream and resilience.
He emphasised to graduating students that when you have the power to dream big you will not be lazy because you will work extra hard to achieve it.
He said despite the challenges be the best at what you do with consistentcy and be the best at what you do matter how small it is and education is for those who want to work hard at it.
Mr Feo finished off by congratulating the graduating students, the ITI for choosing Goroka among 6 other province and acknowledged parents and sponsors for supporting the dreams of the those graduating students.
Howevwr, the ITI Goroka campus has so far graduated a total of 946 students since its establishment including this year’s graduation.
The total of 79 graduates received Certificates and diploms in various programs which includes, Certificate in Accounting, Certificate in HR, Certificate in Computer Science, Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in HR program, Diploma in Management, Diploma in Marketing, Diploma in Information Technology and Diploma Advanced Diploma in Accounting programs offered at the campus.
