A new agreement has been signed today to help make life easier for NASFUND members.
Nasfund one of PNG’s largest superannuation fund and BSP, one of PNG’s biggest banks, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to help members get their bank statements faster.
Through this agreement will ease the trouble of Nasfund members lining up in long ques at BSP branches to get their bank statements.
With this new agreement, members who give their consent will no longer need to go to the bank. Instead, Nasfund will receive their bank statements directly from BSP through a safe and secure system.
Nasfund CEO Rajeev Sharma says the goal is to save time, reduce queues, and give better service to members.
BSP General Manager Ronesh Dayal says this move also helps customers avoid taking time off work to get their statements, making banking more convenient.
Both organizations say they will protect member information and follow all privacy laws.
The new service is expected to start soon in a few months’ time.
