PRINCE EDWARD TO VISIT PNG ON 50 YEARS INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY

HIS Royal Highness, Prince Edward will be visiting Papua New Guinea to celebrate the Nation’s 50th Independence Anniversary next month.

Prince Edward is the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and the youngest sibling of King Charles III.

He was born third in the line of succession to the British throne and is now 15th.

His visitation to the country was revealed by the National Events and Foreign Affairs Minister Justine Tkatchenko in an exclusive interview with FM100 News recently.

Minister Tkatchenko says, His Royal highness Prince Edward will be in the country next month together with other international leaders, including his Royal Highness the Crowne Prince of Tonga Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukalala, who is also the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for His Majesty’s Armed Forces, and all the Pacific Islands Leaders, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Indonesian President  Prabowo Subianto, amongst other Heads of States.

His Royal Highness Prince Edward will also officially open the Supreme and National Court House in Waigani and later will be at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium for the Official Flag Lowering.

Minister Tkatchenko further highlights, that the Kings Representative His Excellency Sir Bob Dadae, the Prime Minister James Marape together with the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the other Heads of States and leaders will be at the Sir Hubert Murray stadium to witness this Official Flag lowering ceremony.
