TPA LAUNCH TWO NEW INITIATIVES

THE Tourism Promotion Authority today launched two new initiatives the “Hello Poro Campaign” and the “50th Independence Tour Packages”.
In launching the event today, TPA Chief Executive Officer Mr Eric Mosman Uvovo stated that through this campaign, aims to celebrate 50 years of Independence as Tourism position PNG as one of the most cultural rich and welcoming nation in the pacific.
Mr Uvovo further states that the campaign aims at creating new opportunities for local operators and communities.
CEO Uvovo highlighted that the launch was beautiful and is a golden milestone, in celebrating the 50th Independence.
“TPAs vision is simple yet powerful to strengthen PNG Tourism brand, inspire visitors engagement, support local smes and encourage people to travel and experience the country. The Hello Poro campaign is about friends and connection and a warm spirit that defines who we are as Papua New Guineans, it will also combine cinematic storytelling, authentic cultural experiences capturing cultural and natural scenes. Also exploration around vibrancies, heritage and serenity,” Mr Uvovo stated.
He further noted that this campagn was scheduled for 2024 but was delayed to this year and urged partners and stakeholders, media to amplify this campaign and help share Papua New Guinea story to the world.
