AROB CITIZENS IN MOROBE CAST THEIR VOTES

BOUGAINVILLEANS living in Morobe Province took part in polling for the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB) elections on Friday.
Voting was held at Lae Secondary School, where eligible citizens lined up to cast their votes. The polling process was reported as smooth and peaceful.
Morobe Election Manager Simon Soheke said the only challenge faced was with names missing from the electoral roll.
“The only issue I think we faced was names on the roll, voters’ names were not on the roll,” he said.
Soheke explained that some voters who had cast their ballots in 2019 could not find their names this time. He added that the same issue was being reported in other provinces as well.
Despite the problem, polling officials said voters remained calm and patient, allowing the exercise to run without disruption
