TRUKAI BACKS 69TH GOROKA CULTURAL SHOW

THE Trukai Industries has come on board this year marking 12 consecutive years of support for Goroka Show with K30, 000.

The presentation was made at the National Sports Institute in Goroka on Thursday by the Goroka Trukai Industries Sales Area Manager Solomon Kaivepa.

This also included 150 bags of rice and merchandise caps and TShirts.

This shows Trukai Industries commitment to Papua New Guinea’s rich cultural heritage by sponsoring the 69th Goroka Show with a package exceeding K30, 000.

Trukai Industries Marketing Manager Peggy Maha said: “The Goroka Show is one of Papua New Guinea’s most treasured cultural events. As we mark 50 years of independence, Trukai is also proud to walk alongside the organizers, performers, and spectators in keeping PNG’s tradition alive.

She said the support for the Show is a reflection of one of our Trukai’s cores values in the community in building strong relationships and giving back to the people of Papua New Guinea.

This year’s bronze sponsorship includes K20, 000 in cash support.

In addition, Trukai also donated 80 branded shirts and caps for the event marshals, and 150 bags of 10kg Roots medium grain rice for the participating singsing groups.

Goroka Show Committee Chairlady Karyn Hargreaves thanked Trukai for its support again this year.

Ms Hargreaves said the rice would be given to 150 singsing groups that will be coming from all parts of the country to take part in the Goroka Show, known as one of the oldest cultural Show in the country which would coincide with the 50th Independence anniversary celebrations.
