PNG EMERGENCY SERVICES RENEW PARTNERSHIP

THE Papua New Guinea Fire Service and National St John Ambulance have renewed their partnership to boost emergency response across the country.
A new Memorandum of Understanding was signed this week in Port Moresby, strengthening cooperation through joint training, shared facilities and coordinated responses during emergencies.
Chief Fire Officer Bill Roo says working together allows frontline services to respond faster and better serve communities in their moments of greatest need.
Meanwhile, Dr. Arabella Koliwan, Interim Chief Executive of St John Ambulance, highlighted that this collaboration has helped expand ambulance services beyond the capital and reaching more Papua New Guineans.
During the signing ceremony, Chief Fire Officer Roo was also honoured as a Member of the Order of St John, recognising his distinguished leadership and commitment to emergency service cooperation.
Both organisations reaffirm that their mission remains clear that is to serve, protect, and care for the people of Papua New Guinea anytime, anywhere.
