WARDS ROLL FOR LLG ELECTION DISPATCHED IN ENB
THE provincial electoral office has released a detailed breakdown of eligible voters by gender for each district and local-level government.
The total number of voters registered for the upcoming polls is 187,925. Of these, 91,561 are women and 96,364 are men.
In the Gazelle District, a total of 72,667 people are registered to vote. Kokopo District follows with 52,648 enrolled voters. Pomio District has 37,023 on the rolls, and Rabaul District has 25,587.
Breaking it down further into the Local Level Governments, Kokopo-Vunamami is the largest LLG in the province with 22,209 voters. The smallest LLG is Open Bay in the Gazelle District, with 2,220 enrolled voters.
These figures are now final, providing a roadmap for candidates and election officials as they prepare for the 2025 Local Level Government elections. The focus now turns to ensuring a free, fair, and peaceful polling period.
