KOKOPO AND RABAUL MAYOR SEATS DECLARED

The race for both the Mayoral Seat for the Kokopo Vunamami Urban Local Level Government and the Rabaul Urban Local Level Government, ended yesterday with the successful declaration of James Kopex Wong as Mayor elect for KVULLG and Timothy Kalua Biang elected as Town Mayor for Rabaul Urban Local Level Government.

Of the total 23 Local Level Governments in East New Britain province, 7 LLG Presidents have been officially declared, two of which are the Mayors seat and 5 LLG Presidents seats.

Sources have confirmed most LLG’s have completed polling and are now in counting with anticipation of completing the 2025 LLG Elections with Elimination and Declaration of respective candidates elect by the end of the week.

Election process still continues this week with more declaration to be made soon.
