WESTERN Highlands Police Units on LLG Election operations are also maintaining police visibility in Mount Hagen City.

Provincial Police Commander Chief Superintendent John Sagom. says they are conducting normal routine police work like conducting raids and uprooting marijuana plants within the outskirts of the city.


In a recent routine check, police uprooted marijuana plants cultivated at Banana Gate, Wara Kum area.

PPC Sagom says this is a message to the citizens and residents of Mt Hagen City to abide by the laws, as law breakers will not be tolerated.

Call is also being made on youths and the young generation to do away with marijuana and home brew production and consumption.
