LAE GOSPEL MUSIC FESTIVAL TO SUPPORT ELC-PNG 2026 NATIONAL SYNOD

A Gospel Music Festival is underway in Lae with the proceeds to go towards helping the Evangelical Lutheran Church of PNG (ELCPNG) Siassi District to host the 2026 national synod.

Headed and funded by the Jokema Band, front man and founder Honkey Isaac says this is a first if it’s kind in Lae featuring prominent gospel artists and groups around the country.

He says all proceeds from the musical festival will be given to the Siassi District synod committee who will use the money to prepare for the upcoming synod next year.

The gospel starts today at the Martin Luther Seminary in Lae and will run for three days ending Sunday 07th December.

The gate fees are kids K5, adults K20 and VIP area is K100.

Performing gospel groups and artists includes Higher Visison, New Covenant Praise, Pastor Peter Bogembo, Sonburnt, Unique Bond Band, Sikal Kelep, Dabsy Yapuc and other local gospel bands in Lae.
