KOIM ALSO STEPPED DOWN FROM OTHER DUTIES

RECENTLY resigned Internal Revenue Commission Commissioner General Sam Koim has also stepped down from other caps he is wearing, such as the Board of the Western highlands Provincial Health Authority and as Chancellor of PNG University of Technology.
Outgoing IRC Commissioner General Sam Koim announced last week in a press conference, adding that he would pursue other opportunities outside of the IRC and position he was holding.
Koim did not specifically outlined his reasons of the resignation from the top government office, however, he said his past six-years being at the helm of the IRC was both a challenge and lesson from him.
Meanwhile, the government through the Department of Personnel Management and NEC will appoint a new IRC commissioner to head the important tax-revenue organisation in the country.
