NEWLY CROWNED MISS PNG RECEIVES K10,000 FROM UNITED FINANCE

UNITED Finance Investment Group has presented a K10,000 cheque to the newly crowned Miss Papua New Guinea to support her upcoming charity programs.
Speaking at the presentation, United Finance Head of HR, Peter Hombunaka, thanked Ms. Anna Bais and the Miss PNG committee for their hard work in successfully crowning Miss PNG, who rose from Miss Western Highlands to the national title Miss PNG.
The newly crowned Miss PNG 2025, Miss Iampela Popena, thanked United Finance for their unwavering support throughout her journey, acknowledging the role the company played from the very beginning.
The young queen emotionally reflected on the support from the team, including her family members who worked there.
“They stood behind me from Miss Hagen Central all the way to the national stage.”
She said the crown she now wears do not belong to her alone, but to everyone who stood with her.
United Finance Group Media and Marketing Team Leader, Janet Thomas said United Finance was proud to stand with the Miss Paradise PNG team.
She said the donation represents United Finance’s desire to work closely with Miss PNG and her team particularly to support charity work for vulnerable groups across the nation.
Thomas said the crown belongs not only to Miss PNG but also to women and girls across remote Papua New Guinea. She encouraged unity in reaching the unreached, inspiring and empowering women to become the voice of PNG.
Meanwhile, Anna Bais PNG Pageant Director announced that the first runner-up from Western Highlands will now be officially crowned Miss Western Highlands.
The first runner-up will take up the full responsibilities of Miss Western Highlands, representing the province as this transition is important to ensure continuity.
