SECOND BRAND NEW AIR BUS TO ARRIVE TOMORROW
AIR Niugini is proud to announce the arrival of its second brand-new Airbus A220 aircraft – fondly known as the People’s Balus.
The A220 air bus, known for its advanced technology, fuel efficiency, and passenger comfort, will soon join Air Niugini’s fleet to serve both domestic and international routes. The first Air Bus arrived in the country on the eve of the Nation’s 50th Anniversary.
Prime Minister, Hon. James Marape, together with the Minister for State-Owned Enterprises, Hon.William Duma and Air Niugini Board Chairman Mr. Karl Yalo will be in attendance will be on the ground to witness the arrival of the air aircraft.
The aircraft will arrive at 2pm tomorrow, and to a water salute and blessing on arrival.
The A220 aircraft has taken off from Montreal, Canada, embarking on its journey to Papua New Guinea – the proud home of the Bird of Paradise.
The arrival of the second new Airbus reflects Air Niugini’s commitment to providing safer, more reliable, and comfortable air travel for Papua New Guineans and international travelers.
Air Niugini management expressed gratitude to the Government of Papua New Guinea, partners, and stakeholders for their support in making this milestone possible.
