NIGHTS FLIGHTS FOR SELECTED AIRPORTS

THE National Airports Corporation (NAC) has announced that Tokua Airport will be accommodating the AIRBUS A220 aircraft operations on a temporary concession basis to help address peak period passenger demand.

NAC Acting Managing Director/CEO Mr Dominic Kaumu in a statement today, says this arrangement will commence today 16th December providing additional capacity during the busy festive season.

Mr Kaumu says, NAC is able to facilitate temporary night flight operations at Nadzab, Wewak, Momote and Kavieng airports, however this shall only be considered with advance notice from the airlines.

He further says, while night flight operations fall outside of NACโ€™s normal operating hours and place an additional burden on NAC’s resources, they are being facilitated to ease congestion and improve passenger movement during the peak period.

Mr Kaumu sincerely thanks all stakeholders and the travelling public for their patience, cooperation and understanding during this period.
