FESTIVE POLICE OPERATION SMOOTH IN NCD/CENTRAL: ACP TURI

THE festive season police operation in the National Capital District and Central Provinces is going smoothly.
Police say there have been no major incidents reported since the operation started last week.
NCD and Central Commander, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Benjamin Turi, says most police reports are related to alcohol. He says alcohol is the main cause of fights in settlements and communities. Police are working hard to control the situation.
Commander Turi says some road accidents have also happened. He says some accidents are linked to alcohol, while others are caused by vehicle problems or driver tiredness.
He thanked police officers, reservists, community police, and community watch volunteers for working day and night. He also thanked the public for celebrating responsibly.
Commander Turi called on everyone to continue working with police to keep communities safe and peaceful during the festive season.
