2025-2026 NGCB IPATAS CUP FINALS KICKS OFF TODAY

EIGHT teams have been confirmed for the 2025-2026 NGCB Ipatas Cup Rugby League competitiom finals which kicked off today in Lae.
The eight teams are finalists from 62 teams from eight provinces who took part in the off-season competition.
Four winning teams from the eight will advance to the finals play-offs tomorrow ( Saturday) and followed by the grand final match on Sunday.
Competition coordinator, John Milba said four winners from today’s games will advance to semi-finals tomorrow with the two winners going into the grand final on Sunday.
Milba said the eight teams are winners from the eight provinces who took part in the off-season league and they are representatives of their provinces.
He thanked all the sponsors of the comoetition including Enga Governor, Sir Peter Ipatas and the National Gaming Control Board for coming on board as the major sponsors.
The eight teams competing in this year’s finale are Prum Panthers, Lisapeka Bulldogs, Kulaka West, Young Stars, Morobe Pride, Pepka Hawks, Tari Central, and Jaka Elibari Miners.
