SHP APPOINTS DEPUTY GOVERNOR
THE President for South Wiru Local Level Government, Mr. Dickson Lama, has been elected as the Deputy Governor of Southern Highlands Province following a decision by the Provincial Assembly in Mendi yesterday.
The election took place during a Provincial Assembly Meeting held in Mendi, attended by Members of Parliament from across Southern Highlands Province.
Mr. Lama’s appointment was endorsed by the Assembly, reflecting broad support for his leadership and representation.
As Deputy Governor, Mr. Lama will assist the Governor in overseeing provincial administration, supporting governance processes, and contributing to development planning and service delivery throughout the province.
His election is seen as a significant development for South Wiru LLG and the wider Southern Highlands Province as leaders continue to strengthen unity and effective governance.
