NAWAEB DISTRICT SUPPORTS ELCPNG NATIONAL SYNOD IN SIASSI

THE Member for Nawaeb Theo Pelgen, has reaffirmed the Nawaeb District Development Authority’s (DDA) strong support for faith-based institutions through its contribution to the 35th Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea (ELCPNG) National Synod, currently underway at Bunsil Station, Tewai-Siassi District, Morobe
Province.

Nawaeb DDA officially sent 60 delegates to attend the historic Synod, representing the Boana, District, Deka, and Laulu Sekets of the Yabim District of ELCPNG.

To ensure full participation, the Nawaeb DDA committed K100,000, fully covering all travel, accommodation, and logistical costs for the delegates.

Nawaeb DDA Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Buds Botikie, said the support reflects the district’s appreciation of the vital role the church plays in national and community development.

“This is what we can do as a district to appreciate and extend the work of God’s Kingdom. The Church has always been a strong pillar in education, health, peace, and moral guidance, and Nawaeb is proud to support this important gathering,” Mr. Botikie said.

Nawaeb MP Theo Pelgen commended the ELCPNG for its long-standing contribution to the social and spiritual development of Papua New Guinea and reaffirmed the district’s commitment to partnerships that strengthen communities.
