DOULOS Hope floating bookfair, is coming for the first time to Port Moresby this year and will open for the general public to visit in Port Moresby.

The floating bookfair ship also offers its visitors a selection of over 2,000 different book titles at affordable prices.

This is the first visit of the floating bookfair ship, after her sister ship MV Doulos made to Port Moresby, almost 18-years ago in March 2008.

Doulos Hope in a recent media statement confirmed that the floating bookfair ship will open its door to the public at the Old Wharf at the Waterfront, Port Moresby, from 6th February to 1st March 2026.

“They cover a wide range of subjects including science, medicine, arts, languages, faith, hobbies, cooking and sports,” Doulos Hope stated in a statement.

“With children’s titles, academic texts, dictionaries, atlases, and more, a visit to the bookfair is something the whole family can enjoy.”

Doulos Hope will be open to the public at the Old Wharf in Port Moresby from 6th February to 1st March 2026.

“Opening Hours includes Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00am–5:30pm last entry 5pm.

“Sundays,1:00 – 7:00pm last entry 6:30pm.

“Mondays, Closed. On 6th February, we will be open from 1:00pm to 5:30pm last entry 5:00pm.

“Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult and require their own tickets.
“Children under 12 and seniors over 65 can enter for free, but they still need to have a ticket booked for priority entry.
“For all other visitors, the entrance fee is 5 Kina (cash only), which will be collected at the entrance to the bookfair,” Doulos Hope added.
